How to update the firmware of Nikon D90?
It took me a long while to understand that updating the camera to it’s manufacturer’s latest software is as important as updating your laptops or mobile phones. See below the action steps to a successful completion of firmware update on my Nikon D90, using a MacBook Pro.
A quick run through the 10 steps of firmware update on a Nikon D90.
- If you have sufficient power to run your Nikon body for 10 minutes, then you can begin the installation. If the power on your camera is insufficient, please charge it for a while and begin the action.
- Transfer all your images from your SD memory card to your storage device and then clean format the SD card using camera’s format function (menu>setup menu>format memory card).
